Ace Young magazine this month announced that the sleeve may have a Blood Lad anime adaptation soon. It was not disclosedwhether the adaptation will be in the format of episodes or OVA.

Blood lad is a black comedy that began publication in 2009 and is in its 4th volume. The manga Yuuki Kodama has been published in Ace Young.

The story revolves around Staz, a vampire who falls for a girl named Yanagi Fuyumi that ends up in hell. Staz just leaving like Fuyumi after girl attacked by a monster who lives hell and dying becoming like a ghost. Staz realizes that he no longer loves by Fuyumi "ghost" and decides to find a way to resurrect it and get back to feeling that unknown feeling he had when he met her.
