Second season of the anime is confirmed.

Was confirmed by the magazine that anime Fujimi Shobo Highschool of the Dead will have a second season soon. Madhouse will produce a continuation that will debut in September of that year.

Known as Mokushiroku Gakuen - Highschool of the Dead or HOTD, its publication in manga began in September 2006 in Dragon Age magazine Kadokawa's. Written by Daisuke Satou and illustrated by Shouji Satou, the anime adaptation was broadcast between July and September with a total of 12 episodes.

HOTD shows a group of students who are forced to flee through a city infested with zombies and find a refuge to survive. During the escape other characters appear as a nurse, a teacher and a girl who almost see the death of his father.

In September 2010 launched the OST (Original Sound Track) anime that features 12 different songs from closure, one for each episode. The manga is still published in Japan since 2006.
