Katte ni Kaizo on DVD

Katte ni Kaizo on DVDOVA aired today on Japanese TV.
Today was displayed in the Japanese channel Nikoniko 21:00 the first episode of the anime version of Katte Ni Kaizo author Koji Kumeta (Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei). The preview display was online and was attended by over 5000 users in about 20 minutes.
The episode was included in the first volume of the anime that will be sold on DVD and Blu-ray starting today. Even a limited version will be released on July 27, while the second DVD / Blu-ray series due out September 21.
Katte Ni Kaizo is a shonen manga created by Koji Kumeta and published by the magazine Shonen Sunday. Published in 1998, the series has 26 volumes and ended being published in 2004.
The series follows the events surrounding Kaizo Katsu, an eccentric and insane student who has a unique perspective on the world around them. Katsu is 17 years and believes in UFOs, pyramids, ghosts and other fantastic beings due to an accident he had in his childhood. After another accident, he ends up believing it was rebuilt becoming a cyborg, and returns to the old science club to which he belonged as a child and ends up finding people who may be even more eccentric than himself.
The story is marked by its striking and perhaps unexpected end, your art style compares with more recent work of Koji, manga Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. Not published outside the country, Katte Ni Kaizo is not as well known as Zetsubo Sensei.

The series ended in the 26th volume mainly by a comment made by Mikami chief editor of the magazine that published. According to Mikami, he could not let his kids see that story.
Thus, Kumeta not seen the future for her series and ended in the next volume. The reason for its early closure is mainly due to be published for a target child and have skits related to politics, which could not be understood by the public for children, or to be construed wrongly.

In the last volume, Kumeta drew a character similar to himself that he is a mangaka who dreams that his series is in volume 30 and will be released soon in anime, it appears in the Kaizer school, the main character.
