Begin to emerge names for the cast.
Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton and The Red Riding Hood's Catherine Hardwicke are distinct examples of remakes of classic children's stories.
While the first mixture of the history books Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass seeking an initial public child, the second is based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood is a story more adult to another type of viewer.
Following the line of remakes, we have Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and now we have information from a film based on PeterPan
The Screen Daily reports that Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight),Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) and Anna Sophia Robb (Soul Surfer) will star in a dark version of the story of Peter Pan, which is being produced by New Line / Warner Bros. The film's director will be Guillermo Del Toro.
The site claims that Eckhart is Captain Hook, Anna will be Wendy and Sean Bean was cast as Smee.
In the plot, Captain Hook is a tormented ex-cop who seeks a kidnapper of children. Wendy will be the only survivor of an asylum and help in the hunt and Smee is Detective Chief, the Captain Hook's only ally.
More details should emerge soon, Ben Magid is responsible for adapting the screenplay. Shooting will begin in October in Europe.
