There is still hope for the film.

With 12 awards in the gaming industry, BioShock is a first-person game with RPG-style customization. The game got top marks in many reviews from magazines and specialized websites.

BioShock emerged in 2007 after Irrational Games was bought by Take-Two. Its sequel was released in February 2010 and the nextgame, BioShock Infinite will be released in 2012. This will be the third game of the series, told the president of 2K mentioned that their series can have up to five games, but of course it depends on the success that the franchise have in the course of games.

That success was due to rumors about a possible movie franchise appeared. Since then, three years and ups and downs. The film should be released in 2010, but in 2009 the director left the project for not agreeing with records abroad.

In 2010 a new project director was Juan Carlos Lynch. But in July it was reported that there were problems with budget and difficulty to find a studio for the film.

In a recent interview Ken Levine, Irrational Games creative director said that even after the failures, it is still running behind the project and talking with others.

He said, Bioshock is a good game and could be a good movie, but for this you need the right people and an entire team committed to the project that would lead to the BioShock movie. There were contacts with important people and many conversations.

Levine said his biggest challenge is finding the right people at the time right so you can start and complete the BioShock movie. And as said before, the project was not forgotten.
