Warner Home Video said that through a mail Wednesday that the live-action Gantz will be released on Blu-ray on August 30 in the United States. The same will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in England a month later.

Gantz is a manga series written by Hiroya Oku. An anime adaptation was produced by Gonzo and finalized in late 2004. Even with the anime ended, the manga is still published by the magazine Young Jump. The manga is published by Dark Horse Comics in the U.S. and Panini in Brazil.

Besides the two seasons in anime and a game for the PlayStation 2, two movies have been adapted for the franchise. The first film had its world premiere in Hollywood on January 20, also with displays by more than 330 classrooms across the U.S. the sameday.
